DeSoto Parish has met all criteria to become a certified ACT Work Ready Community, according to a joint announcement Monday from DeSoto Parish school officials and North Louisiana Economic Partnership
This coalition of 35 organizations is working toward certifying their communities as ACT Work Ready Communities. By following the ACT system of testing and workforce development, Work Ready Communities can measure, improve the skill sets of the workforce and close the skills gaps for existing employers.

Four North Louisiana parishes will launch a new workforce initiative on June 20, 2018 at 8:30 am at the Bossier Civic Center that will enhance the region’s ability to recruit companies and to train a skilled workforce.
