Missouri Partnership: Four Counties Earn Work Ready Status April 14, 2022

Four Missouri counties have earned Certified Work Ready Community status. This ACT designation program that recognizes successful efforts by community, education and business leaders to strengthen workforce training and development in order to meet the economic development needs of their communities. Laclede, Morgan, Howard, and Pemiscot counties each recently earned the designation.

Residents will earn $11 an hour while participating in Rolla Job Center's new virtual program August 17, 2021

Rolla job seekers between the ages of 14-24 now have the opportunity to gain virtual work experience through The Career Club. Individuals will earn $11 an hour while participating in the virtual training and transition to a minimum wage of $12 an hour following work experience placement. 

Howard County Becomes Missouri's 86th Work Ready Community May 12, 2021

Howard County, Missouri, recently achieved ACT Certified Work Ready Community Status. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson spoke at the event celebrating the certification, Tuesday, at Central Methodist University. Missouri continues to lead the nation with 86 fully Certified Work Ready Communities and more than 4,500 supporting employers.  Over one hundred Missouri counties are actively participating in Certified Work Ready Community initiatives.
