The Center for Workforce Development hosted the ACT Work Ready Communities Educator Summit on April 24 in the Professional Development Center at BOCES 2. The event brought together school counselors and administrators from all over the region and representatives from area businesses to find out more.

The Luminate Finals event empowers youth to see cutting-edge technology, hear from experts, and vote for their favorite startups at NextCorps Luminate, the world's largest optics, photonics, and imaging startup accelerator. As a regional WRC champion, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce invites local youth to dive into the future as the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. The event happens Thursday, September 26th at The Theatre at Innovation Square in Rochester and will be broadcast live online.

Future WRC Startup Launches Innovative Business School September 20, 2023

Rochester and Monroe County leaders continue to build the leadership team and assets for a future WRC effort.  Golisano Institute is a new two-year business and entrepreneurship school and President Ian Mortimer joined the ‘Mornings with Maria’ program to discuss their goals to reduce the time and costs required to prepare for successful startups.
