The Oswego County Micron Strategy Steering Committee hosted its second annual summit on Thursday, June 20, at SUNY Oswego’s Marano Campus Center auditorium, celebrating a year of significant milestones and strategic collaboration supporting Micron Technology’s historic $100 billion investment in Central New York.

Oswego County is celebrating its status as the first certified “work ready community” in the Northeast! The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting event on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at CiTi BOCES, 179 Co. Rte. 64 in Mexico.
“The best way I can think of to tell the world that Oswego County is ‘ready for business’ is to become the first certified ‘work ready community’ in the Northeast,” said Oswego County Legislator Roy E. Reehil, District 5.
The relationship between local industry and students in high school is reaping rewards to manufacturers who recognize the value of staying proactive, according to Brian Heffron, administrator of workforce development and community relations at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi) and a champion of New York's first certified WRC.
