Site Selection Magazine's November edition includes a dozen location spotlights that include WorkKeys NCRC growth trends to demonstrate workforce quality. Features include Kansas, the Dakotas, Virginia, Nebraska, New York, Mississippi, Washington, and Wyoming.

Berkeley County residents interested in growing their qualifications for manufacturing jobs can apply for scholarships for the ManuFirst SC program beginning soon. ManuFirstSC participants learn essential safety policies, communication best practices, quality standards, production processes and maintenance awareness. All successful graduates receive an OSHA-30 card and Yellow Belt Lean Six-Sigma certification. The course also includes preparation and testing for additional certifications. Bronze WorkKeys NCRC encouraged.

Site Selection magazine recently profiled Work Ready initiatives in South Carolina.All 46 counties in the state have signed on to become Certified Work Ready Communities. Clarendon County, S.C., is the second county in the nation that has met 100 percent of ACT’s National Certified Work Ready goals.
